4-story (plus raised basement) Greek-revival (with Renaissance-revival elements) residential building completed in 1852 as a townhouse. Designed by William Torrey and Cyrus Mason as part of their Lamartine Place development, it is clad in red-painted brick. It was altered in 1889 by George B. Pelham. The stoop has been replaced by a ground-level entrance a couple steps below sidewalk level. It has a black wood-and-glass door in a white stone surround topped by a cornice. To the left are two single-windows.

The upper floors have three bays of single-windows in white frames, with simple sills and flat lintels. The east window at the former-parlor floor replaces the original entrance and is topped by a cornice. The facade is crowned by a white metal roof cornice with brackets, and a frieze with floral ornament. The building now contains rental apartments.
