4-story (plus raised basement) Greek-revival (with Renaissance-revival elements) residential building completed in 1852 as a townhouse. Designed by William Torrey and Cyrus Mason as part of their Lamartine Place development, it is clad in white smooth-stucco. It was altered in 1888 by George B. Pelham. The stoop has been replaced by a ground-level entrance a couple steps below sidewalk level. It has a metal-and-glass door in a simple stone surround topped by a broken pediment. To the left are two single-windows.
The upper floors have three bays of single-windows with simple sills. The facade is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets, and a frieze with floral ornament. The building now contains rental apartments.
