5-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1885 as a tenement to a design by Ralph S. Townsend. It is clad in red-painted brick above a white-painted stone ground floor. Areaways with iron fences front basement windows on either side of the central entrance, which is reached by a short set of steps. The doorway, as well as the windows on either side, are framed in beige cast-iron surrounds, with a cornice running across the top of the ground floor. The upper floors, four windows wide, have grooved band courses running between the floors, and have flat stone sills and lintels at the windows. Above the 3rd & 4th floors, the spandrels have a recessed checker pattern. A black iron fire escape runs down the center of the facade, which is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets and panels in the center, with fan shapes at the edges.
