4-story (plus raised basement) Greek-revival (with Renaissance-revival elements) residential building completed in 1852 as a townhouse. Designed by William Torrey and Cyrus Mason as part of their Lamartine Place development, it was altered in 1924 by Van F. Pruitt , when the stoop was replaced by a ground-level entrance down a step from the sidewalk. The facade is clad in white-painted brick above a brownstone basement. The entrance has a white wood-and-glass door and sidelight in a simple stone enframement with a cornice on top. To the left are two segmental-arched single-windows with white iron grilles.

The upper floors have three bays of single-windows, all of which have been shortened to accommodate air-conditioning units above the 2nd-floor windows and below those on the other floors at the outer bays. The windows have white stone sills and peaked lintels, except on the top floor. The facade is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets, dentils, and a frieze with floral ornament. The building now contains rental apartments.
