6-story Art-Moderne cooperative-apartment building completed in 1939. Designed by Hyman Isaac Feldman, it is clad in two shades (light and dark) beige brick. There is a deep light court in the center with the main entrance at its rear. The base of the facade at the sidewalk level is darker brick, as is the middle bay of each of the two wings, the middle of the rear wall of the light court, and the corners of both wings.
The main entrance has a bronze-framed glass door, sidelights, and transom framed by wide, fluted, granite pillars now painted black and topped by a panel of black stone with rounded horizontal bars. On either side is a narrow black stone section with a single-window, and a square panel on top. The upper floors of the rear wall of the light court have two bays of double-windows with black iron mullions. The light-beige spandrels between floors each have a small square of darker-beige, and the darker-beige brick band running up the center is ornamented by a pair of simple vertical lines.
The side walls of the light court have a single-window at the rear, and a smaller bathroom window. At the front of these walls are double-windows that wrap around the corner onto the south facade for another pane. The darker brick at these corner bays has horizontal banding between floors.
Continuing to the outer ends, both wings have a single-window and a double-window bay, a vertical band in darker-beige brick (with short, horizontal bands between floors) with two narrow single-windows (only one window at the east wing), and four more single-windows (with more banding at the end bays). Four light-beige metal fire escapes run down the facade, and there is a low basement entrance at the far west end, where the slope of the site dips somewhat. The roof line is marked by a metal coping.
The building contains 68 apartments.
