113-foot. 14-story cooperative-apartment building completed in 1980. Designed by Schuman, Lichtenstein & Claman, Selis Manor houses 200 visually impaired and physically disabled tenants, their families and service dogs. It is clad in tan brick. The ground floor is topped by a band of white brick, and has a central main entrance covered by a projecting metal canopy and flanked by large plate-glass windows. The 16-bay wide facade has triple-windows (except for four of which have double-windows); between the bays of each floor are white metal vents and there are white metal bris-de-soleils above the windows. The main roof line is at the 12th floor; a smaller 2-story mechanical penthouse is located in the center.

The building contains 205 apartments, and also hosts programs for blind people who aren’t residents, has a rooftop terrace, a courtyard, bowling alley, fitness center, computer center, library and auditorium. A major renovation took place in 2015.

On September 17, 2016, a bomb exploded in a dumpster outside the building. The explosion injured 29 people.
