6-story Art-Deco/Fantasy Modern-style cooperative-apartment building completed in 1938. Designed by Horace Ginsbern, it has four main wings separated by recessed light courts at the front and rear. Each wing is four bays wide on the south elevation, with the outer bays wrapping around the corners. The recessed walls of the light courts are two bays wide and deep. The building is clad in beige brick, with various patterns and rustication, especially around the windows and at the spandrels and roof line. The windows of the inner bays have side panes that angle back into the facade, creating a recessed bay window effect. All the windows have silver metal framing. There are beige metal fire escapes in the light courts, and projecting air-conditioning units at many of the windows.

The 7th Avenue facade has a much shallower light court in the center, above the ground-floor storefronts. There is also a fire escape in this light court. On either side there are two larger end bays of wrap-around windows, and two center bays with narrower windows. The storefronts have black polished stone piers. The brick roof parapet is capped by a stone coping.

The building was converted to a co-op in 1988, with 121 apartment units. The ground floor along the avenue is occupied by Malin + Goetz Health & Beauty, QQ Nails & Spa, Luigi fine clothing, Keratinbar salon, and Chelsea Specialty Pharmacy.
