5-story cooperative-apartment building completed in the mid-1800s. In the latter part of that century, it became a private school, and then served as the administrative offices of Sailors' Snug Harbor, developer of residences for retired seamen. It was converted to apartments in 1916, and became a co-op later in the 20th century.

The building is clad in red brick. The 2nd floor has three shallow arches with keystones connected to a stone band course above. The 3rd & 4th floors each have four square-headed windows with stone sills and lintels. Air conditioning vents have been cut below each left-side window. The top floor has the fascia board from the metal roof cornice extending down around the windows, which are shorter than the other floors. The building is entered from a small courtyard on the south side. The north wall is plain red brick, with no openings.
