4-story Italianate residential building completed in 1859. It is clad in red-painted brick along the 7-bay southern facade, and in brownstone on the 3-bay avenue side (and the easternmost bay of the south elevation), where the ground floor has a modern metal-and-glass storefront. The windows of the brownstone portion are segmental-arched on the 2nd & 3rd floors, and round-arched on the top floor, with simple stone sills. The 18th Street-side windows follow the same pattern but are more embellished. Some of the sills have corbels, and the lintels have curved, projecting cornices. There are a pair of round-arches on the western side of the ground floor, with the residential entrance in the left one. A red-painted metal fire escape runs down the center of the facade. The roof line around the south and east facades is capped by a metal cornice with fascia board, with brackets on the avenue side.
