228-foot, 21-story residential building completed in 1931. Designed by Rosario Candela, the ground floor is limestone (with dark-grey granite along the sidewalk) and lined with storefronts, with brown brick above. The centered entrance has metal-and-glass double-doors flanked by fluted quarter-columns and smooth engaged columns in front of and to the outside of those, both topped by a cartouche-like element draped with a garland. Above is a small iron-and-glass canopy topped by a decorative wrought-iron balcony railing that fronts an Art-Deco limestone surround at the center window on the 2nd floor.
Brick piers run up the length of the facade, separating a mix of single- and double-windows. Vertical brick bar patterns decorate the spandrels between the 4th & 7th floors. The facade is dotted with protruding air-conditioning units. A number of setbacks begin above the 16th floor, where the brick takes on a lighter shade. Dentiled band courses mark most of the setbacks, with limestone accents on the corners and across the middle of the 18th floor. A small, 2-story square tower tops the middle of the building. Two bays of single windows run down both the north and south facades, and the rear of the building has several regular 2-story setbacks starting about halfway up. The rear corners of the facade are clad in tan brick, in contrast to the darker brown of the rest of the building. The building contains 162 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by Birch Coffee, and Elm Wellness.
