 landmarks, condominiums, interesting place

The Greenwood Lane is a mega-conversion project of the old St. Vincent's Medical Center, involving five apartment buildings (one of which is new construction) and five new townhouses containing 200 new condominiums units in all. All of the buildings are centered around a central courtyard and garden. The overall project architect is Fox & Fowle, with construction beginning in 2013.

The St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center served the Village area from its founding in 1849 until its closure in 2010. It was the third-oldeest hospital in New York. Notably, St. Vincents has treated victims of the Triangle Shirtwaist fire, the Titanic sinking, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
