6-storey residential building completed around the 1890s as a tenement. Above the black metal, street-level storefronts with recent large show-windows, 30 Grand Street's clad in red brick with gold brick band courses, wider on the 2nd floor than those above. The heavy 2nd-storey window lintels're adorned with arched swag and scrolled keystones, while the lintels of the top 4 floors're splayed with keystones.

The southern elevation's organized into 15 bays, with the 4th bay from the left being wider & featuring a broad iron mullion. The far right bay on this facade has been filled in. 3 black iron fire escape run down the center & left side of the facade. The eastern elevation has a narrow light court, dividing it into a wider southern section with 8 bays, & a northern section with 6 bays. Both sections have black iron fire escapes. The western side lacks ornament, serving as the rear of 30 Grand Street. 30 Grand Street has 1 larger light court near her north side, & a narrow, much shallower indentation near her south side, that's filled by 1 bay of windows. The north wing created by the light court has 3 bays, &'s clad in brown brick; The centre wing has 1 bay of regular windows, & a second bay of smaller windows, &'s faced in smooth stucco. The southern wing's windowless, & covered by a large advertisement. An iron fire escape runs down the northern wing.

The ground floor's occupied by New York Spa & Nails, Cafe Noir restaurant, & Glowlab Art Gallery.
