12-story postmodern residential building completed in 2002. Designed by H. Thomas O'Hara and Arpad Baksa. The $30 million project contains 66 condominium units, ground-floor retail shops, a fitness facility, and a rooftop terrace. This mid-rise building was a pioneer in the transformation of the Bowery from low-rise shabbiness to towered chic. A 1-story base extends to the lot line, with a set-back tower rising above. Faced mainly in red brick, there is a vertical, light-colored façade element near its north end that culminates in a small top floor.
Originally built as apartments, NoLita Place was converted to condomniniums in 2005. On the ground floor was a sprawling club complex called BLVD, which includeded a basement music space called Crash Mansion. It closed in 2013, to be replaced by another club.
