7-story residential building originally completed in 1851 as a 4-story house, and altered for commercial use in the late 19th century, with the addition of several floors. The brick facade dates from the 1970s, and is composed of various shades of brown in a random pattern. Floors 2-7 are identical: two bays in width with fenestration composed of Chicago style windows with fixed single panes in the center and steel sash windows to each side. A black metal fire escape runs down the center of the facade.

Among the early commercial tenants were publishers, artists, piano merchants and the Phoenix Club. The upper floors are now apartments, with the ground floor occupied by Roma Pizza.
