Gramercy, also called Gramercy Park, is a neighborhood in the midtown area of New York City's Borough of Manhattan, focused around Gramercy Park, a private park between East 20th and 21st Streets at the foot of Lexington Avenue. The area is named for a stream which meandered like a 'crooked little knife,' or 'Crom messie' in old Dutch ('Krom mesje').

The neighborhood's boundaries are roughly 14th Street to the south, First Avenue to the east, 23rd Street to the north, and Park Avenue South to the west. To the west is the Flatiron District, with Union Square to the southwest, to the south is the East Village, to the east are Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village, a very large private complex of high-rise apartment buildings and to the north are Rose Hill on the northwest and Kips Bay on the northeast. There is a separate and specifically defined Gramercy Park 'Historic District' more closely tied to the Gramercy Park environs itself, applicable for architectural preservation and zoning purposes.
