210-foot, 20-story residential building completed in 1960. Designed by Sylvan & Robert Bien, it is clad in off-white brick. The building is an H in plan, with its site filling the whole block. The facades are dotted by casement windows in singles, doubles and triples, with small air conditioning vents below many of them. The four end wings have notched corners with square concrete balconies and metal railings, beginning at the 5th floor. Along Broadway there is a 1-story retail extension faced in black granite. It is occupied by Douglas Elliman Real Estate, a cleaners, Jay Nails, and a Wells Fargo Bank branch. The south courtyard is enclosed by a brick wall; on the north side is the main entrance, with a half-oval driveway and silver metal canopy. There is a ramp to an underground parking garage at the southeastern corner of the site.
