3-story Italianate residential building originally completed in 1841 as a rowhouse for Dr. Benjamin B. Edwards. It was converted to stores in the 1860s, and in 1869 a new facade of Coloburgh Brick was constructed, a 1-story extension was added to the rear, and a new iron cornice was added to the roof. In 1884, the rear extension was raised the full height of the building.

The ground floor has a modern glass and black-painted aluminum storefront. The 2nd floor has a large 4-part show window with black iron mullions and a simple cornice. The red brick 3rd floor has three square-headed window openings with projecting molded lintels. The facade is capped by a bracketed and modillioned black iron cornice which appears to date from the 1869 alteration.

The building was reverted to residential use in the late 20th-century, and renovated in 2005. The ground floor is occupied by a Verizon Wireless store.
