4-story Greek-revival residential building completed in 1848 as a rowhouse. The ground floor currently has a white-painted metal storefront with large plate-glass windows. The upper floors are clad in red brick, with three square-headed window openings which get progressively shorter at each floor. The openings have simple sills and projecting molded lintels. A simple dentiled white iron cornice caps the facade.

In the early 1850s, the building was occupied by Jules Coutan's school; by the late 1850s, the building had been partially converted to commercial use, with Philo Cole's retail dry goods store located in the ground story. Around 1910, the building was occupied by Fuller's Detective Bureau, while Morse Brothers, a men's wear merchant, was located in the ground-story store. Beginning in the 1920s, it was used for light manufacturing, and was converted to residential around 1980. The ground floor is occupied by Scotch & Soda boutique.
