 Neoclassical (architecture), apartment building, 1908_construction

11-story Neo-Classical residential building completed in 1908. Designed by Charles E. Birge as a store-and-loft building, it has a wide central bay with five grouped windows, and two single end bays. The 3-story limestone base has an entrance on the north end, with a molded architrave, and decorative hood with swags and keystone. The 2nd-floor end-bay windows have prominent keystones. The central bay of the base has non-historic brick surfaces and fenestration that replaced projecting 2nd- and 3rd-story show windows; the base is topped by bracketed molding.

The 4th floor has courses beige brick and molded terra-cotta lintels. The upper floors have decorative brick spandrels and projecting sills at the end bays. The 11th floor features decorative terra-cotta, including elaborate balconettes at the end bays, a projecting continuous molded sill, and curved brackets that supported a roof cornice (removed after 1985, shortly after the building was converted from manufacturing lofts to residential apartments). There is now a brick parapet at the roof line. The ground floor is occupied by Superdry Store apparel.
