Neoclassical (architecture), apartment building, movie / film / TV location, 1897_construction

11-story Neo-Classical residential building completed in 1897. Designed by Buchman & Deisler as a store, it was merged with the neighboring building at 712 Broadway in 1961, and was converted to an apartment building in 1985.

The facade is three bays wide, with a black cast-iron storefront. The rest of the facade is clad in limestone. There are round-arched windows at the 2nd & 8th floors, and bracketed balconies with balustrades at the 4th & 10th. Above the 2nd floor the piers are rusticated. The windows of the 4th-6th floors have scrolled keystones, and there are carved spandrels between the 7th & 8th floors. The 10th floor has gabled window hoods, and there is a parapet with inset pediment, topped by finials.

The second floor apartment was used starting in S1E2 of the HBO series "Succession" as the pre-marriage apartment of Shiv. Out the window is the signature red cladding of the Meyer Hall of Physics.
