 apartment building, 1810s construction

4-story residential building completed in 1819 as a house. The facade is clad in off-white-painted brick (painted light green on the ground floor, which is topped by a brown metal cornice). Three of the windows on the West Broadway side have been rather sloppily filled in, and a very small window was added at some point between the middle and southern windows on the top floor. The roof line is marked by a bracketed and modillioned cornice. A metal fire escape zig-zags down the north facade. The ground floor is occupied by Morgenthal Frederics opticians.
