6-story residential building completed in 1883. Designed by Henry Fernbach as a store, it is clad in dark red brick, with a lighter shade on the ground floor. The flat stone sills and lintels are connected, and each floor has one horizontal stone band across the mid-point of the windows (two bands on the ground floor). The piers around the outer bays on both facades are projected slightly forward (there are five center bays on Springs Street, and four on Greene), and the top floor has segmental-arched windows with keystones. Both facades have a white metal fire escape, and are crowned by a grey, bracketed metal roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by John Varvatos apparel.
