5-story cast-iron cooperative-apartment building completed in 1873. Designed by John B. Snook as a tobacco store for the Lorillard company. Although this buiIding shares a facade with #68, it was built slightly later than its neighbor and owned separately. It is also only three bays across, as opposed to four on No. 68. It is painted white, with tall rounded columns on the ground floor, and squared pilasters above. A bracketed and modillioned roof cornice crowns the facade, and a white metal fire escape runs down the right two-thirds. The ground floor is occupied by Angel's Gift.
