Foley Square Apartments

184-foot, 19-story postmodern residential building completed in 2003. Desiged by Costas Kondylis, it has a ground floor of grey pre-cast panels over the granite water table, lined with storefronts. Light fixtures are mounted between each bay. The upper floors are clad in tan brick, with narrow horizontal bands of red brick on the piers. The long, narrow building has open corners at the east end. Various areas of the facade alternately recess and project, with further open corners at the edges of the projections, up to the 12th floor, above which there are setbacks at the west and end ends. The windows are grouped into triples and doubles, as well as singles, all framed by silver metal. Most of the windows groups have grey metal air conditioning vents below them.

The building contains 330 rental apartments, and has a wood and onyx lobby with a vaulted ceiling, natural light in all corridors, a concierge, a fitness center, a residents' lounge, floor-to-ceiling windows, granite kitchen islands and countertops, breakfast bars, and baths have tri-view medicine cabinets. The ground floor is occupied by a Starbucks coffee, a Duane-Reade pharmacy, Simit & Smith Cafe, Civic Deli, City Hall Barber Shop, Worth Cafe, and the entrance/exit for an underground parking garage.
