4-story mercantile building completed in 1838 as a dwelling. It was altered in 1874 for a store, flattening the peaked roof and adding a cast-iron storefront. The 3-bay round floor is now painted dark grey, with red-painted brick on the upper floors. The windows have green-painted sills with corbelled feet, frames, and metal cornices. The building is crowned by a green metal roof cornice with paneled fascia board. A red-painted metal fire escape runs down the left two-thirds of the facade. The ground floor is occupied by Kiki Montparnasse, a high-end sex shop named for Man Ray's mistress.
