apartment building, 1883_construction
6-story residential building completed in 1883. Designed by Samuel A. Warner as a store, the facade is split into two halves with the same proportions, but differing cast-iron pilasters and ornament. The southern half's ground floor is lined with fluted pilasters, while the northern half has wider paneled end pilasters, and a pair of narrow Corinthian columns in the center. Both sides are painted grey, covered by white metal fire escapes, and topped by a bracketed and dentiled roof cornice.
