4-story Neo-Grec residential building completed in 1879 (although the cast-iron corner section fronting Grand wasn't added until 1888. Designed by Mortimer C. Merritt as a store-and-loft building, the facade of this section is cast-iron with large plate glass windows and dentils along the bases of the 3rd & 4th floors. The original building is clad in red brick above a cast-iron ground floor with Corinthian columns.The windows here have large, rounded-corner hooded lintels over the windows. A red-painted metal fire escape runs down the facade, and breaks the roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by Savoir Beds.
