5-story cooperative-apartment building completed in 1866. Designed by James Pirsson as a photography workshop and factory, the Broadway facade was completely rebuilt in 1919 in brown brick. The spandrels have patterned brickwork, and the windows are divided by grey metal mullions. At the roof line is a brick parapet, stepped up in the center.
The rear of the building on Mercer is clad in red brick, three bays wide, above a black cast-iron ground floor. A green metal fire escape runs down the left two-thirds of the facade. The ground floor is occupied by Kenneth Cole.
