building, apartment building, 1910_construction
7-story residential building completed in 1910. Above a black-painted stuccoed ground floor, the building is clad in brown brick with white brick patches. There are corbelled brick panels between floors, above and below the windows. The narrow north facade has three bays of single windows, while the wider east facade's three bays of wider single windows are separated by two bays of double windows. A brick band course crosses the bottom of the 7th floor. The building is crowned by a black, modillioned roof cornice, and has a metal fire escape on the eastern side. The ground floor is occupied by the bar Naked Lunch, named for the William Burroughs novel.
