4-story Queen Anne-style residential building completed in about 1822. Originally a Federal-era dwelling, this building’s fourth story and bracketed cornice with gable and urns, designed by architect Richard Berger, were added in 1890 by owner Philip Feuring, by which time the building had already been converted from a dwelling to a factory. The windows all have peaked cornices and a white metal fire escape covers the red-painted brick facade. In 2009, the building was joined internally with the adjacent building at 147 Grand Street and its upper floors were converted back to residential space. The ground floor is occupied by John Frieda salon, along with the ground floor of No. 147.
