4-story residential building originally built in about 1822 as the middle of three nearly identical buildings built together. This Italianate-style brick, former Federal-style dwelling was built for Augustus Lawrence. This building’s fourth story and bracketed cornice were added in 1876 by owner Henry O. Gratacap, at which time its window lintels may have been replaced and a storefront constructed. At that time, the neighborhood was becoming increasing commercial in character and the building was already occupied by a factory. The building was renovated in 2004, with Bun Soho Vietnamese Noodle Bar is on the ground floor, with apartments above. It is three bays wide, and clad in red-painted brick. A grey metal fire escape runs down the left two-thirds of the facade.
