11-story residential building completed in 1903 as a factory/office building for a thread company. Designed by Robert Maynicke, it is clad in stone and buff-colored brick, with black cast-iron infill at the 2-story base. It spans through the block to Crosby Street, where the facade is half as wide as on Broadway. The main facade has a 2-story base, with a projecting angled entrance framed by two giant Ionic columns, and rusticated stone piers at the sides topped with carved garlands. Above a dentiled stone cornice, the 3rd floor is faced in stone (topped by a stone cornice with carved garlands at the ends), with the upper floors in brick. They are all five windows wide; the windows are recessed and topped by lintels with keystones.

The 9th floor is faced in stone, with carved ornament at the ends, and a dentiled cornice above and below. The top floor has round-arched windows with keystones, and is topped by a projecting black roof cornice. On the Crosby side the windows are squared, in a simple grid, three units wide. This facade is also crowned by a projecting black roof cornice. The side walls are clad in reddish-brown brick. This prominent building was for several years an important venue for avant-garde performances by such artists as Dave Brubeck, Martha Graham and Laurie Spiegel. The ground floor houses a Citibank branch.
