 apartment building  Add category

6-story cast-iron residential building completed in 1881. Designed by Henry Fernbach, it wraps around the corner building and has a frontage on both Greene and Springs Streets, ten bays and six bays wide, respectively. Both facades have the same design, and are painted cream-colored on the upper floors, and white on the ground floor, with white metal fire escapes. The Greene Street side is split into two halves by the same decorative piers that line the edges. The columns between the bays have Corinthian capitals and fluted top halves. Both facades also have bracketed and modillioned roof cornices with pointed capitals at the ends. This building was the location of Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze's apartment in Ghost.

The building was converted into residential lofts by Joseph Pell Lombardi. The ground floor is occupied by Louis Vuitton on the Greene Street side, and Tumi luggage on Prince Street.
