5-story residential building completed in 1858 for Thomas Lewis. The facade is identical to 36 Walker next door, which was also built for Lewis two years later. The grey-painted cast-iron ground floor has fluted Corinthian columns and pilasters. The upper floors are clad in white stone, with quoins at the edges. The windows are round-arched, and have sills with corbelled feet. A metal fire escape is shared with 38 Walker, and the building is crowned by a bracketed metal roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by David Weeks Studio.
