5-story residential building. The original 3-story structure was built in 1831-32 as a brick-faced dwelling for Thomas Barron, a weaver. The property was acquired by Seth Grosvenor, a merchant, in 1835. Beginning in 1860 two stories and a twenty-foot rear extension were added to the building. The extant cast-iron storefront framing appears to date from that period. The brick upper floors are painted red, and the windows have peaked lintels. A black metal fire escape runs down the right two-thirds of the facade, which is topped by a bracketed roof cornice.

In the 1920s it was owned by Henry F. Turtle, a dealer in linens. In the 1960s it was owned by the Taylor Linen Company and was occupied by the Anderson Textile Refolding Company. Sometime in the 1980s, it was converted to residential use.
