5-story residential building that began as a 3-story masonry structure built in 1833-35. It was increased to four stories in 1868, and then five stories in 1874 to a design by Julius Boekell. The ground floor has tall fluted columns with wood infill and a dentiled cornice. The upper floors are clad in grey brick with segmental-arched windows, which have black-painted sills with corbelled feet, and arched, draping eared lintels. A black metal fire escape zig-zags down the facade, which is crowned by a bracketed black metal roof cornice.
