5-story cooperative apartment building completed in 1861. It is clad in tan stone above a dark green-painted cast-iron ground floor. The windows are segmental-arched, with stone lintels and keystone, and stone sills with corbelled feet. A grey metal fire escape runs down the right side of the facade, which is topped by a modillioned roof cornice.

From 1868 to 1911 James Talcott, a successful dry goods merchant, occupied the building. In the 1940s the building was occupied by the Superior Knitting Mills and the Industrial Waste Corp, and in the '80s and '90s, the White Street Repacking Company was a tenant. The building was converted to residential use around 2000.
