3-story residential building completed in 1815 as a 2-story structure. The building was raised to three stories in height, probably in 1845. The building was later expanded to cover the full seventy-five-foot-deep lot, possibly in 1893, under the ownership of Carl Rommelbacher, a beer merchant. In 1930, and again in 1966, the storefront was altered. Currently, Happy Science USA occupies the ground floor, and there is residential space above.
