The stone-clad upper floors have round-arched windows set within segmental-arched enframements at the 2nd & 3rd stories and squared windows at the top floor. The roof cornice has paired brackets, and there is a black metal fire escape running down the facade. The building typically has been used by dry goods firms for offices, showrooms, sales, and shipping, including the offices of the Florsheim Bros. and the Martin Brown Company. In the 1970s, the upper stories were converted for use as artists' studios.
