4-story residential building completed in 1815, renovated in 2003. The building is Federal-style with Italianate additions. It was originally constructed in 1815 as a three-and-one-half-story residence for John Wood, a merchant. The peaked attic was replaced by a fourth story in 1853, and a cast iron storefront with Corinthian columns installed on the first floor, as the building was changed to commercial use.
This building has typically been occupied by dry goods firms for sales, storage, showroom, and office uses. It was most recently owned by Braun Textiles before being converted again to apartments. The windows have splayed lintels with keystones, and there is a black wooden roof cornice with brackets.
