12-story Beaux-Arts residential (former bank) building completed in 1927 for the Italian Savings Bank/East River Savings Bank. Designed by Cass Gilbert, and converted into a residential building in 1988 with 38 1-3 bedroom luxury condos. It was again renovated in 2004. The 3-story stone base has very large fluted Corinthian columns - five on the west side, and two on the north. The building's northwest corner is chamfered, with a stone cartouche above the cornice entrance. Above a transitional stone 3rd floor, the upper floors are clad in buff-colored brick, with window in pairs.

The ground floor features upscale retail stores and other company headquarters have been located here in the past – in particular, Entertainment Comics, famous for publishing MAD. There is a Duane-Reade drugstore on the ground level.
