9-story residential building completed in 1896. Designed by Alfred Zucker, it is clad in limestone and buff-colored brick. The 3-story stone base is rusticated, with double windows, and is topped by a dentiled cornice. The mid-section is organized into bays of triple windows, with stone cornices above the 6th, 7th & 8th floors. The top-floor windows are round-arched, with the outer bays having centered columns, and ornate headers with keystones. The building crowned on both of the main facades and a portion of the eastern wall by a modillioned and dentiled roof cornice that was recently added. The stone cornices on the upper floors also wrap partway around the eastern wall. The building has been home to Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock, among others. The ground floor is occupied by Miz Mooz shoes and Endless Flax women's clothing.
