3-story Greek-revival/Gothic-revival residential building originally completed in 1845 as the first two rowhouses in a row of ten. The facade is clad in dark red-painted brick, with black exterior shutters around the windows. The roof is crowned by a continuous cornice line that extends to the other buildings of the row. The original stoop from No. 18 has was removed and replaced by a basement entry. The raised basement has been occupied by The Waverly Inn restaurant since 1920.
