6-story Greek-revival residential building originally completed in 1840 as a 3-story townhouse. It has been greatly altered over the years. The facade is clad in light-brown painted brick. The original stoop has been removed and the entrance relocated to street level, turning the basement into the ground floor and the parlor floor into the 2nd floor. The facade is divided into two bays, with single-windows on the east side and double-windows at the west. All the double-windows have transoms on top, and those on the 2nd floor are taller, reflecting their earlier position as parlor-floor windows. Air-conditioning vents have been cut below the single-windows and to the right of the transoms at the double-windows.

The double-window at the 2nd floor has a small Juliet balcony; the western bays above the 2nd floor have larger metal balconies with black metal railings. Two new floors were added on top at the same time as the neighboring building at No. 244; they are clad in non-painted grey brick, with the same fenestration. A brick roof parapet caps the facade.
