New York, NY 10013

6-story residential building completed in 1882. Designed by J. Morgan Slade as a store-and-loft building. In 1901, architects Schweitzer and Diemer extended the building north along West Broadway approximately 25 feet. The six-story addition has the same overall design and articulation of detail as the original building, with a facade of red brick above a light-grey cast-iron ground floor. There are brownstone accents on the facade, including window framing, bands on the piers, and pilasters between the window panes. Stone cornices wrap around the 3rd & 5th floors; the 5th-floor windows are grouped under segmental-arches. Both facades are crowned by a black roof cornice with large modillions, and a black metal fire escape runs down the extension on West Broadway, and another runs down the Franklin Street side. The ground floor is occupied by Maslow 6 wine bar, and Distilled restaurant.
