Peter Cooper Village is a large private residential development of apartment high-rises on the East Side of the midtown area of the Borough of Manhattan in New York City, and one of the most iconic and successful post-World War II private housing communities. It is run together with its larger neighbour estate just to the south called Stuyvesant Town, the whole sometimes being referred to simply as 'Stuy-Cooper town'.
