Established in October of 1990 as a short-range radar site in the North Warning System, the CAM-CB site replaced the DEW Line-era CAM-C site located further North at Matheson Point which had been unused since 1963.
A fully autonomous station, CAM-CB is equipped with AN/FPS-124 radar systems.
