Taedonggang-guyok is the original district of East Pyongyang. The countries of Egypt, Mongolia, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Laos, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland keep their embassies in this district. Since 1998 this district has been the sight of the Pyongyang Cultural Exhibition on Munsu Street which includes numerous photographs, paintings and a book fair.
