Sunan-guyŏk (-district), P'yŏngyang, DPRK: Established in April 1972 in conjunction with the celebration of DPRK President Kim il Sung's sixtieth birthday. Sunan District was made a part of P'yŏngyang, previously being Sunan-gun (Sunan County), South Phyongan Province. It is the location of several cooperative farms and several logistic facilities, one of which is Sunan International Airport.
