Notes: This flood control facility was built in response to frequent flooding events that affected the St. Francis River and nearby settlements. It consists of a 130-foot long reinforced concrete lock and a series of steel siphons and concrete levees, as well as a small brick building from which the facility was controlled. The facility ended operation in 1971, and the lock gates were subsequently removed, and part of the concrete channel was infilled.
